Beer tents open at 10 am on weekdays and 9 am on weekends and the public holiday. On opening day beer is served only after the tapping at noon. Last call is at 10:30 pm, the tents close at 11:30 pm. The Käfer Wiesn-Schänke is the one tent that stays open until 1 am.

Costume and riflemen's parade
About 9,000 participants march from Maximilianstrasse to the Theresienwiese from 10 am. Free to watch along the route, grandstand seats are ticketed.
Gay Sunday (Rosa Wiesn)
The LGBTQ+ community meets at the Bräurosl tent on the first Sunday. The tent is packed by late morning.
Italian weekend
The Italian visitors' weekend. Expect many guests from northern Italy, full campsites and a lively atmosphere in the large tents.
